The Washburn County Economic Development Corporation administers the Washburn County Industrial Development Association's Revolving Loan Fund. This low interest Loan Program allows for up to $20,000 for jobs either retained or created. Information and Applications are available through Washburn County Economic Development.
SuperiorLife Technology Tax Zone – Washburn County is part of a program that allows State Tax Credits for qualified Companies engaged in High Technology Products or High Technology processes.
TIF- (Tax Increment Financing) is used by the county's Communities to assist Businesses in Building and Financing a facility. In certain cases, it may also be used in townships.
Programs through WITC, such as the Manufacture Resource Center, or the Customized Labor training fund. The “Best” Program can also assist in Labor Training.
A coordinated Program with Job Service and the four school systems that allows a Company to discuss employment opportunities to High School Students.
Seminars for businesses seeking to begin or expand exporting or Government contracting. Also seminars on Small Business Administration (SBA) training.
