President Chuck Jenkins called the Monthly meeting to order 735am at the Washburn County Economic Development office located at 208 Vine Street, Spooner, WI.

 

Present: Chuck Jenkins, Rob Paine, Ken Schultz, Lloyd Wallace, and Bill Marx.

 

Absent: Skip Fiedler, Morris Gillett, Rob Lester, Mike Bobin and Jim Bethel.

 

Others Present:  Margie Quinn, Steve Sather and Greg Krantz

 

Concerned Citizens:  None

 

Approval of Agenda- Rob Paine made a motion to approve the monthly agenda, Lloyd Wallace 2^nd the motion.  M.C. by unanimous vote.

 

Approval of Meeting Minutes of August 15, 2012

Minutes of the previous meeting August 15, 2012 were circulated. Ken Schultz made a motion to approve the minutes, Rob Paine 2^nd the motion.  M.C.  by unanimous vote. 

 

Treasurer’s Report by Marge Quinn – Jim Bethel was absent, Marge Quinn read the monthly Treasurer’s report. Marge reported on the monthly bills.  The total expense for part of August 16,  through September 19, 2012 was $12184.04 a checking account balance of $40135.99 and an additional $9480.00 in the CD account to be used for ½ marketing expenses, ½ for business plan development, and 501 (c)(3) expenses to the IRS and Anderson Hager and Moe.   RMAP funds to interest income on a loan in the amount of $5206.60  Technical Assistance in the amount of $14685.50, and Loan Loss Reserve at $1750.00.  Total available funds are $71,259.12. Marge Quinn has provided board members with a Treasurer Report, P&L monthly and a balance detail from QB.  Bill Marx made a motion to accept the Treasurer Report and pay bills, 2^nd by Rob Paine. M.C.  by unanimous vote.

Director’s Report-  Greg Krantz

Greg circulated a Director’s report.  Greg stated he has spent a large amount of time on the Civic Center.  Greg commented on the follow up visits made to various communities, and attended Bid meetings with updates on the Civic Center.  Greg at the County Board meeting held September 18^th, 2012, County Board voted failed on the resolution proposed to a 9-12 vote.  Greg updated Board Members on possible loans he is working with at the present time.  Discussions were made on membership letters sent.  Board Members would like all membership letters to be sent by the 1^st week in December.  Ken Schultz approved Director’s report, 2^nd by Rob Paine.  M.C.  by unanimous vote.
